Palliative care, also called comfort care, is not the same as hospice care. The focus of palliative care is to relieve the pain, symptoms and stress of serious illness while the patient continues to receive curative or life-prolonging treatment. Palliative care helps patients gain the strength to carry on with daily life.

Palliative Care services include:

assisting individuals and their family through
    treatment and recovery
treating pain and other distressing symptoms
  providing psychological and spiritual support
  promoting relief from suffering
  enhancing the ability to function

Meeting: on the first Wednesday of each month at 6:00 pm in the New Iberia office.
